Please clean the air filter at least once every two weeks:
This unit has an upper filter. Take it out along the arrow direction, then take the filter down.
Wash the air filter by immersing it gently in warm water (about 40OC) with a neutral detergent. Rinse the filter and dry it in a shady place. Do not put it under the direct sunlight. Once dry, please re-install the unit.
Use a lint-free cloth soaked with neutral detergent to clean the unit enclosure. Finished with a dry clean cloth.
If your unit will be idle for a long period of time (over 2 weeks), please follow these steps.
- Remove the rubber plug at the back of the unit and attach a hose to drain outlet. Place the open end of the hose directly over a nearby drain (ideally on a lower floor to help the water run out).
- Remove the plug from the bottom drain outlet, all the water in the bottom tray will drain out.
- Keep the appliance running on FAN mode for half a day in a warm room to dry the appliance inside and prevent mold forming.
- Stop the appliance and unplug it, wrap the cord and bundle it with some tape. Remove the batteries from the remote control.
- Clean the air filter and reinstall it.
This will be due to a build up of water within the lower tray, please drain the water in this bottom tray straight away.

If you can hear a gurgling sound, this is normal for air conditioning units as it is produced by the flowing refrigerant inside the conditioner.
